KATE BUSH MAKES HISTORY WITH FIRST CONCERT IN 35 YEARS

The question came up.
Has the recluse singer chosen to return to the stage for good?

It's certainly been a while! Reclusive star Kate Bush made a spectacular return to the stage for the first time in 35 years last night as she embarked on a string of shows at London's Eventim Apollo.

Emotional fans said that the show was ambitious and imaginative and owed as much to theatre as it did a traditional pop show.

Celebrities including Madonna, Lily Allen and Bjork were in attendance to celebrate the influential musician's comeback.

"Where have you been?" Kate joked in reference to her long absence from the live stage before thanking the "lovely" audience and 16-year-old son Bertie who joined her on stage as a backing vocalist. The show featured musicians, actors and choreography and used underwater visual effects and dancing fish carcasses. However, fans expecting to hear the familiar sounds of songs like the Man With The Child In His Eyes or Wuthering Heights may be disappointed as her set concentrated more on her later music.

Nevertheless, it seems that fans were very pleased by what they saw.

DJ Rob da Bank tweeted: "The Kate Bush show is reinventing the pop concert… laughing, crying, wondering what the hell is going to happen next." Writer and columnist Caitlin Moran tweeted: "Kate bush, in black, barefoot, hounds of love, running up that hill, king of the mountain. JESUS."

Rarely for a modern concert, the atmosphere wasn't spoiled by a sea of phones lighting up to film every single moment. Kate Bush had previously requested that phones, cameras and tablets be left at home so that she could have "contact" with her audience. Before the show an announcement was made asking everyone to turn their devices off and security guards patrolled the venue to make sure the request was strictly adhered to.

One fan said: "I didn't see a single phone, everyone was so respectful of it, it felt like it would be like taking your phone out at church."

If she's back for good then we shouldn't loss hope on chris brown just yet:)...
