The News! JUSTIN BIEBER ‘MAY NEED SURGERY’ AFTER DRAMATIC CLIFF JUMP

Troubled star Justin Bieber may need surgery after injuring himself jumping off a cliff.

Bieber was trying his hand at 'tombstoning', an adrenaline-seeking craze that involved him throwing himself off a very high cliff into deep water. During the stunt, he ruptured his eardrum and may need to have an operation to nurse him back to health.

Justin tweeted: "Busted my ear drum cliff diving. Doc says might need surgery now. Sucks." Later he followed that tweet up with: "My ear drum might back us up a little but I'm still bringing you this new music. Much love. Damn u cliff diving."

Justin's loyal network of followers immediately swung into action and the #FeelBetterJustin hashtag started trending. Upset fans plastered Twitter with melodramatic messages including: "Crying and worried we want you back soon" and "We'll pray for ya ma babe!!!! Don't worry about us right now just recovery ok? We are here fir u!"

Fans were worried about Justin having to go under anaesthetic but surgery is only needed for eardrums in very severe cases. The injury will usually heal itself within a few months if properly protected.

It's not the first time Justin has thrown himself off a cliff – last year he worried fans when he was photographed tombstoning from a high ledge in Kauai, Hawaii.

In other strange Justin Bieber news, the star is about to release his latest collaboration with David Hasselhoff. The pair will appear together in Hasselhoff's new film, Killing Hasselhoff, and were seen tearing around Venice Beach in a replica of the car Kitt from Knight Rider. The Hoff commented: "We had a lot of fun and he's a cool guy. We're just keeping it quiet because it's really cool."
