JESSIE J AND ADELE’S FRIENDSHIP TORN APART BY FAME

Will Jessie J and Adele remain friends much longer?

Whilst fame and fortune bring many benefits it seems that lasting friendship isn't one of them.

Jessie J and Adele, both 26, have known each other since they attended the BRIT Performing Arts school, but their ten-year friendship is reportedly falling apart as their fame rises.

A source told the Daily Star that Jessie is annoyed that Adele hasn't made the effort to stay in touch after she hit the big time with a string of hits.

The source said: "They used to be close but now Jessie never hears from Adele, which she find frustrating. It's almost as if she's too busy for their friendship since her phenomenal worldwide success."

Jessie and Adele have both enjoyed chart success over the past few years, but whilst Jessie's star appears to be on the wane after her appearance on The Voice, Adele's career has gone from strength to strength, culminating in her Oscar win for James Bond theme tune, Skyfall. Adele has also been busy after giving birth to her son Angelo.

Jessie J lamented her lost friendship recently, saying: "I used to have jamming sessions with Adele between classes. We used to sing at lunchtime and someone would be playing guitar – it was fun!"

It looks as if Jessie might have to wait a while to rekindle the friendship, however, as Adele is about to start promoting her new album '25'.

It's been reported that X Factor bosses are trying to secure her for the show to give ratings a boost this autumn. There is talk of a whole week being given over to the singer where each finalist would perform one of her hits.

An insider said: "Producers are well aware she doesn't need promotion. Her third album is a guaranteed success. Normally pop stars enjoy a huge boost after appearing on the show, but the X Factor would be the real winners."
