Wiz Khalifa Releases 28 Grams Mixtape After Weed Arrest in Texas

Between releasing new music and taking jail selfies, Wiz
Khalifa has been a busy man.
The rapper dropped his highly anticipated 28 Grams
mixtape online for free after a stint in jail yesterday (oh,
and that's also after he boarded a private jet and
performed at the Soundset Festival in Minnesota).
The Pittsburgh native had hinted that he had plans to
drop a mixtape before his long awaited fifth studio
album, Blacc Hollywood.
"It's gonna drop fast. You should go home," Wiz
reportedly said of 28 Grams. "It's more than a teaser,
it's gonna get the Khalifa train rolling."
"I made this project wit all friends and people I respect.
And thass awesome," Wiz tweeted. "Anyone who hasn't
downloaded 28 grams yet is clearly not tryna be a part
of the future and our generation is better off without
you."
Wiz was arrested Sunday morning after being stopped
by a TSA officer at the El Paso International Airport, E!
News has confirmed.
"The TSA Officer learned that Thomaz did not have any
identification which led to him being sent for secondary
screening," El Paso Chief of Police Gregory K. Allen said
in a statement. "During that screening the TSA Officer
located a metal container inside of the backpack which
contained a prohibited item."
The "prohibited item" was later confirmed to be 0.5
grams of weed. He posted the $300 bond and was
released.
