The free-spirited two-weekend music and arts festival kicked off on Friday in Indio, Calif and plenty of A-list stars were spotted at the outdoor concert and nearby parties.
Katy Perry, clad in a mesh sleeveless white midriff-baring top and flower-patterned light jean shorts, was all smiles as she mingled with pals at the Music Lounge Party at the Ingleside Inn.
"Dear festival friends remember, selfing is a disease," the green-haired pop star playfully tweeted, advising fellow concertgoers about snapping excessive amounts of selfies. She added, "Like honestly pls stop with ur 5D camera" and explained she has "so many mophies" that she isn't sure "who my real friends are."
Jared Leto, sporting a festive bright Hawaiian blue shirt, spent the first day in the crowds and posed with some of his fans.
Outkast, who reunited after 10 years, as well as Ellie Goulding, Broken Bells, Zedd and Girl Talk hit the stage in front of the sold-out crowd on the first day.
