'Yellow Flicker Beat' will be featured in the latest 'Hunger Games' instalment. Lorde has rapidly risen to music superstardom over the past year and now the New Zealand native can claim another credit to her name: Her song has been selected as the lead single from the 'Mockingjay – Part 1' soundtrack.
Lorde writes on her Tumblr about the song: 'it's my first offering from what i hope will be a soundtrack you love. it's my attempt at getting inside her head, katniss'. i hope you like it.'
The 'Royals' singer gets moody in the sparse Electronica track, which indeed seems like a perfect choice of background music for angsty Katniss Everdeen and brainwashed-by-the-Capitol Peeta Mellark.
